Equilis Belgium announces the completion of the sale of 100% of the shares of the company owning the Shopping Lessines retail park to a private investor.
Developed on a former brownfield site, Shopping Lessines reflects Equilis’ commitment to redevelop underutilized spaces into vibrant places for living and interaction. Opened in 2024, the retail park comprises 6,800 m² of commercial space across 9 units and 150 parking spaces, including 8 equipped with electric vehicle charging stations.
Located on Chaussée Victor Lampe in Lessines, the site benefits from a strategic position along the N57, at the crossroads of Ath, Enghien, and Silly. This location, combined with excellent visibility from the main road, strongly supports the park’s commercial performance.
Shopping Lessines is almost fully leased and already hosts well-known national and international brands such as Trafic, Jysk, Boulangerie Louise, Kruidvat, Action, and Go For Price. Since its opening, the site has been well received by the public, with strong commercial performance reported by the retailers.
The project’s design was conceived to integrate harmoniously with its surroundings. The choice of materials and the focus on site rehabilitation fully align with Equilis’ vision of long-term commercial development.
“The sale of Shopping Lessines once again confirms investor interest in recent, well-located retail parks supported by a strong and diverse retail offering. The success of the brands on site demonstrates the relevance of our approach: developing useful projects that create long-term value,” said Guillaume Beuscart, CEO of Equilis Belgium.
Building on its expertise in retail development (Docks Bruxsel, Bellefleur, Parenthèse, etc.) and in creating mixed-use neighborhoods such as the Papeteries de Genval and Court Village, the Equilis Belgium team continues to actively pursue its projects in Wallonia and Brussels. The company is strengthening its position as a leading player in complex and mixed-use developments, both in city centers and in peripheral areas.
