Rehabilitation of an old
chemical plant
Project in collaboration with IDELUX, province of Luxembourg, Belgium
The site of an old chemical plant in Marbehan, in the province of Luxembourg, is preparing to take on a new lease of life. Plans have been drawn up to turn a 3.7 hectares plot near the town’s train station into a sustainable and eco-friendly neighbourhood.
The ground clean-up work has already been done, and the site is ready to welcome 120 new homes, ranging from apartments to houses as well as various mixed-use facilities that will include retail space and a retirement home.
This new eco-community will become a pedestrian-only zone, with parking and car traffic being limited to the outskirts of the site. The result? A new and sustainable neighbourhood in the heart of the beautiful province of Luxembourg.
