About the Project

A new residential model on former Philips site

In Eindhoven (The Netherlands), Equilis initiated the redevelopment of the former Philips Vredeoord site, contributing to the masterplan for a new sustainable neighbourhood later taken forward by local partners. This project illustrates Equilis’ ability to structure complex urban transformations, combining heritage valorisation, sustainability and collective living as the foundations of a new residential model.

Key Highlight

Community and inclusivity at the heart of the initial design

  • Concept and partnership structuring of a 166-unit urban regeneration on the historic Philips site.
  • Strong sustainability vision developed by Equilis at the concept stage: energy-efficient buildings, renewable energy integration, and circular principles.
  • Nature-driven urbanism: landscape and biodiversity shaping the layout and community spaces, connecting with Eindhoven’s green corridors.
  • Community and inclusivity at the heart of the initial design — shared gardens, soft mobility and intergenerational living principles.
  • Project sold before implementation, confirming market confidence in the quality of Equilis’ preparatory and conceptual work.
