About the project

A flagship office reconversion with ambition in Brussels

In Auderghem (Brussels), Equilis is developing Urbanae, a flagship reconversion project that embodies the ambition of the PAD Delta Herrmann-Debroux masterplan. By transforming obsolete office buildings into high-quality, energy-efficient housing, Urbanae participates in the renewal of the Brussels urban entrance — creating a sustainable, people-centered environment along the Woluwe Valley.

Key Highlights
  • Reconversion of former office buildings into 89 apartments and 4 modular retail spaces, illustrating Equilis’ expertise in rebuilding the city on itself.
  • Exemplary ESG design: collective heat pumps, photovoltaic roofs, low-temperature floor heating, rainwater recovery and infiltration, and extensive wood-based façades and structures.
  • Green and resilient urban integration: a new landscaped base, improved access to the Bergoje park, and reinforced biodiversity through phytosanitary and ecological studies.
  • Circular and low-carbon construction, with reuse of existing structural elements, material inventory (Renolab process), and a complete carbon footprint assessment (LCA – TOTEM).
  • Mobility and comfort: underground car park equipped for electric vehicles, generous bicycle facilities, and optimal access to soft and public mobility (bus, metro, cycle paths).
  • HPD internal Label: Examplary
