BREEAM in Use Excellent
The design of the new shopping centre in Finestrelles combines elegance and light to form an oasis in the urban environment. In a prime location, the centre is located in Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) at the intersection of several main roads and is easily accessible by public transport.
The goal was to be one of the most sustainable projects in Spain, indeed Finistrelles has obtained the BREEAM In Use certification with a level of 'Excellent'. This recognition is awarded to companies that are committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly management and construction.
The use of renewable energy sources that facilitate the reduction of CO2 emissions, optimal waste management or intelligent faucet systems that save water, are some of the measures that have made it possible to obtain this certification.
The complex, with retail space of 39 250 m² and 110 shopping units including all the strong brands in Spain, also includes a students’ residence of 400 units. Two underground parking levels with over 1 250 parking spaces complete the offer.
